1. Computer Modeling Laboratory 

- 10 Lenovo computers with Intel Quad Core processors, 4GB of RAM, two 250 GB hard drives
- 1 laser printer

2. Nautec

The Computer Automation Center belongs aoCentro of Computer Science. Associated with the core is software and hardware lab with an area of approximately 24m 2 . This laboratory has the following features:

- 20 computers Pentium D 3.4GHz, HD 200G, PCI Express 512;
- 01 sonar Miniking;
- 01 underwater camera;
- 01 notebook Centrino 3.4 Ghz;
- 01 laser printers;
- 03 firewires plates;
- 04 Hand Cams cameras;
- 03 welding stations;
- oscilloscopes 05;
- signal recorder 02;
- 06 omnidirectional mobile robots;
- 01robô TATU for inspection of pipelines;
- Citizens robots 20 - V-2 CAVE projection planes, by two projectors Infitec plan Infitec 6 glasses.

Computers of laboratories associated with NAUTEC develop research activities related to the course. In addition to Linux programs and compilers, used MATLAB application to make the simulações.A infrastructure NAUTEC was obtained with CNPQ financing, FAPERGS, FINEP and ANEEL / CCEE-RS.

3. IN

The Applied Mathematics Center belongs to the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics, with an area of approximately 12m 2 . This laboratory has the following computer resources:

- 4 Pentium 4 machines;
- 1 biprocessada machine;
- 1 antenna receiving satellite images.

This laboratory develops research activities related to the lines of Physics and Mathematics Modeling and Simulation Numerical and Computational Methods. Computers use operating system Linux and / or Windows XP. The control design (software and hardware) of the receiving antenna were assembled by researchers and students from NUMA. 

4. NFA

 Environmental Laboratory of Physics core is in an area of about 40 m 2 . This laboratory has the following features:

- 1 cluster with 32 nodes, Athlon XP 1.5Ghz processor, 512MB of RAM, Fast-Ethernet network interface with boot ROM, Administrator machine with an Athlon XP 1.5Ghz processor, 1GB RAM disk e160Gb, tape drive DDS3, two network interfaces Fast Ethernet, 2 3COM Switches 24 stacked gates; - 1 Pentium IV 3Ghz 120 GB; - 1 40 GB Pentium IV 1.5Ghz; - 2 AMD 950MHz, with 80 Gb and 40 Gb with another; - 1 AMD Athlon 64 Processor 3000+ 1.8 GHz, 3.68 GB RAM; - 1 computer with two Intel Xeon 3.0 processors, 1024 MB RAM, 320 GB HD.

- micrometeorological instruments:

a) data acquisition system: the controller CR5000, Campbell Scientific, and accessories, which include Bateira and solar panel, environmentally sealed box, memory card, adapter for USB / notebook to read the memory card and communications software ;
 
b) the wind speed sensor triaxial sonic anemometer CSAT3, Campbell Scientific;
c) open path analyzer sensor vapor and carbon dioxide-Li 7500, Li-Cor Biosciences and calibration system (including dew point generator);
d) relative humidity sensor and temperature HMP45C, Campbell Scientific;
e) net radiation sensor Kipp and Zonen with support tower and the connection system;
f) two heat meter in the soil HFP01SC, the Hukseflux.

Computers of this laboratory, were obtained with funds from FAPERGS, CNPQ and ANEEL / CCEE-RS. The cluster is used to perform simulations and weather forecasting for the Rio Grande region, used a public domain application (RAMS). Some lab computers use Windows XP as the operating system and other Linux. The activities of this laboratory are associated with line modeling Physics and Mathematics. 

5. Computer Lab

 This laboratory is associated with the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics and can be used both for research and as a teaching laboratory. The laboratory with 60m 2 area features:

- 30 computers Pentium Core Duo;
- infraestrutua appropriate network.

Computers in this lab use both the Windows operating system (XP or 98) as well as Linux. They have fortran compilers and C can be used to support research activities. 

6. Computer Lab B

 This laboratory is associated with the Mathematics department and can be used both for research and as a teaching laboratory. The laboratory with 36m2 area features: -

- 30 computers Pentium Core Duo;
- infraestrutua appropriate network.

Computers in this lab use both the Windows operating system (XP or 98) as well as Linux. They have FORTRAN compilers and C may be used to support the search ativiades.

7. NCC

 The Scientific Computing Center of Computational Science Center is located in an area of about 60 m 2 and has the following equipment:

- 1 9 biprocessed cluster nodes, each containing 2.4GHz Opteron processor, 1GB of RAM and 10GB hard disk; communication switched network switch with 1Gb capacity; KVM switch for switching monitor and keyboard; UPS of 3800Kva;

 - 2 Dell computers with Pentium 4,3Mhz processor, memory 512HB ram, 80GB hard drive;
 
- 1 bp laser printer 20ppm;
 
- 1 multimedia projector;
 
- 1-N cluster graphic COURTS vidia;
 
- 4 Sempron computers, IA 64, 1GB of RAM, 120GB hard drive and video card.
 
 
All Labs computers are networked with the backbone of the University.
 

8. Digital Systems Laboratory

 This laboratory is associated with the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics and can be used both for research and as a teaching laboratory. The laboratory with 60m 2 area features:

- 6 computers Pentium Core Duo-6 PIC development kits, FPGA;
- 6 oscilloscopes and function generators;
- infraestrutua appropriate network.

The compuatdores this lab use both the Windows operating system (XP or 98) as well as Linux. They have FORTRAN compilers and C may be used to support the search ativiades. 

9. Laboratory Multidisciplinary

 This laboratory acquired via edict Pro-equipment CAPES, is being finalized and is associated with the Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Physics. The laboratory with 60m2 area features:

- 10 computers Pentium Core Duo;
- 4 high-performance workstations;
- adequate infrastructure.

10. Fluid Structure Interaction Laboratory

 This lab includes the development of studies on fluid structure interaction, having an area of ​​80m2, to presenting the following components:

- 5 computers Pentium Core Duo;
- automated trailer by 30m 1m channel for fluid structure interaction assays;
- license FLUENT and PAM-RTM . 

11. term fluidic Laboratory

 It contains several experiments used to demonstrate principles of thermal sciences and fluid mechanics, and support workshop for construction and maintenance of these experiments. Contains wind tunnel section of 800 x 800mm, Dágua flow channel, panels for testing and calibration of measuring equipment.
